    Posted: 05 April 2004 at 10:41pm

This is just a simple experiment to see if our random group of Forumers can predict who our next president will be.  Are we a diverse enough group, or do we lean toward one side of the political spectrum.  Obviously a large percentage of us are not even of voting age, so this should be interesting.

Let's see if we can keep this thing going until November.

(by the way, I didn't want this to be a big political debate thread, just a poll.  A little debate is fine but let's not get carried away...)

Seriously. I was pretty conservative until I noticed how bad Bush was and now I'm turning liberal (thanks to Bill Handel and Tom Lyekis, radio talk show hosts).

He ignored the economy, Al Queida threats, OPEC, and other domestic issues. I mean gas prices are going up the wazoo, just tell OPEC that we need to renegotiate our contracts on gas prices and output.

Plus why go into a war when the nation is economically unstable? That sounds like what happened in czarist Russia with Nicholas II. Went into WW1, ignored domestic issues, and his country fell into revolution.

Plus bush is turning fascist so ya lets get him out.

Congrats, you have now realized that no talk shows are biased.  They all give you the straight facts.

He ignored the economy, Al Queida threats, OPEC, and other domestic issues. I mean gas prices are going up the wazoo, just tell OPEC that we need to renegotiate our contracts on gas prices and output.

He ignored the economy?  What could he have done besides make sure another 9/11 would not happen again?  Clinton ignored the economy more than bush.  You let national security go down the toilet and you get a terrorist attack, resulting in a screwed up economy.  Gas prices are going up because some retarded executives are raising prices.  Gas companies' profits are up significantly.  This has more to do with greed than with the opec.

Plus why go into a war when the nation is economically unstable? That sounds like what happened in czarist Russia with Nicholas II. Went into WW1, ignored domestic issues, and his country fell into revolution.

Odd.  I have heard america called economically unstable.  Why not?  someone has biological weapons.  Just because their economy is unstable does not mean they are unable to launch an attack.  Oh yes, america will have a revolution.  A revolution where people make opinions for themselves.

Plus bush is turning fascist so ya lets get him out.

Fascist?!  Where is your proof?

Didn't WWII pull us out of the great depression?  Have you ever heard of the phrase, "good little war". (What president said that and what war was he refering to?  I forget)

I'm not saying any nation should go to war to help their economy, I'm just doubting your statement.  I find it hard to compare modern day USA to czarist Russia.

^^^It's the myth of war that people think we will arise from a depression if we enter war.

Wait, E-98,who has biological weapons again? Don't be pointing fingers at countries that have yet to have any evidence of them even having a WMD program.

Bush-He's a man with morals. He talks funny. (hear him say nuclear) He's a wise man who is a good president and made the best out of a bad situation.
If you ever want to see a mailbox shoot a boy, this is about as close as you're going to get.
