I would like to suggest, if the mods concurr... that threads with excessively large images be locked.

Not everyone has high speed internet, and I have seen a shocking number of threads lately where people are posting gigantic pictures that far exceed the guideline limit.

(Ie- the "hard cap" of 50kb per image... I've seen people posting images 300-400kb etc)

What's the point in having a "hard cap" rule if it's not enforeced like the other rules?

My 2 cents...

For those who need a place to host their sigs, you can try AOL Hometown or Geocities.

Anyone who has AOL or AIM has a Hometown account already.  They allow direct linking.  I do not know how much it takes before cutting you off.  http://hometown.aol.com

If you have a Yahoo account of any kind, then you can use Geocities.  According to most people you cannot direct link off Geocities, but that isn't true.  There's a trick to it.  You must upload your image, then change the file name to "your_image_name.txt"  Now you can use outside of Geocities.  It works on all types of images including transparent images.  http://www.geocities.com

You can add www.jayloo.com to the list of free pic web hosts.

Curently there are no limits.  Once uploaded the original and a resized version (usually 600x400) is available for linking.  There is a special group just for Tippmanns here: http://www.jayloo.com/photo_gallery/index.html?pCAT=38

som1 tell me what i did wrong with my sig... it shows that its a broken file or sumthin i dunno. i got it hosted and put the url into my signiture with around the url and it doesnt work.. anything will help thanks
