Yesterday picked up a 'new' leftover 2012 Honda XR650L. Goes in the 'stable' with the 13 Honda CRF250L, 13 Yamaha YZ250F, 78 YZ400E.

The XR will be turned into an 'adventure' bike, for long range touring, since the low sitting of Harley's is not working out well with back and knee issues. Also getting a 'dirt' bike from house to pavement 3 miles away is a lot easier than a 900lb Harley.

Momma showing an interest in learning, and she did putter around farm on the CRF250L dual purpose. So in spring permit/license and we can putter around town.

Racing change going 'vintage' class with the 78 YZ400E, and the 13 YZ turns into a 'exercise' bike since a vintage bike will not hold up to day by day use. ReKluse auto clutch, remap motor and tune it down a little, and just pound track as exercise.

Having fun with old hobby, final race of the year pulled a third, but paid for it later as the pain returned after adrenaline wore off.

Going vintage as it is more a club fun run rather than true 'racing'. I did a vintage race with a borrowed 78 Honda CR125M 'Elsinore' pulled a 5th. We got a good group of vintage riders and I am in charge of 'vintage' racing next year, as well as true 'beginners' so beginners don not have to deal with 'sandbagging' experienced riders.

Also one or both of the 'interested' grandkids goes on board a Honda CRF50, or CRF70 next spring, and grandpa can race by 'proxy'.

Just having a blast, and got several bikes to work on for extra $ over the winter.
