Haha, yeah my list of wants is pretty extreme. I'd like to do some work on that SRV (play adjusted and getting rid of the pick guard mostly) and I'm hankering for a Gretsch Duo Tone like the one Gilmour plays.

I'd also like to convert one of my Mexican Strats over to a Gilmour pickup set.

Yomillio-It's a great, albeit expensive, hobby. Certainly given me ways to express myself when times get crappy.

The first one is the guitar I was referring to. The Fender was free - it was my grandpa's guitar before he passed away. He probably had a hundred of the things over his life, that added to his hobby of tinkering with everything resulted in a Fender 60th anniversary neck bolted onto [as best as I can figure] a random red squire body. (sorry if the pictures are enormous)

Your definition of "shortly" seems to be a bit skewed. :p

I learned the rhythm section of Savatage's "Damien." I don't think there's anything that feels more metal than chugging out some riffy 80's/90's power metal on an Explorer...

Luckily, I also make terrible financial decisions.

Pics of my new guitar will be up shortly.

After I bought my new gun this week, I kind of realized I'm not really allowed to talk about anyone else's poor financial decisions pertaining to their hobbies.

Trade it for an AK. Then trade it for a tattoo. Then trade the tattoo in for a glass rose.

It is very nice. I honestly know nothing about guitars besides that it looks cool. Sorry.

THERE WE GO. Better. By the by, I have 2 banjos.

Yep. Pickups are passive. Great sound on 'em, too, with overdrive. Clean, they leave a little to be desired, but I knew that going in. You get some cool tones out of the coil tapping, too.
