It loses pretty much all of its awesomeness in the green bottle.  Try to find some in a mini keg.  They are completely different beers.

If you're really worried about it, just be a bit careful when grabbing the bottle and when you pour it just leave a small amount in the bottle.  This is what you generally do with bottled homebrew anyway because there's usually quite a bit on the bottom of bottles.

Yep. Unfiltered beers are superior since they get to sit on their lees which helps them age in the bottle unlike filtered stuff. Most true Belgians aren't filtered.

Was going to try some Two Hearted Ale. It said it was unfiltered. Pulled a bottle out and looked at the bottom. Wouldn't you know it, some kind of detritus floating around and swirling. Pass...

Well having become a winter ski bum , and a summer beach bum I tend to drink PBR or highlife always.

Shipyard Punpkinhead is my go to fall beer though if I can afford it. It's really the only beer I'll spend the extra for.
Que pasa?

I like the Sam Adams Octoberfest. I would normally get some local craft beer, but I've been tight on money recently and they sell Octoberfest for a decent price on base so...yea.

I just finished some Mission Shipwrecked Double IPA, pretty good stuff. As far as seasonals, I just had some Flying Dog The Fear which was good. Can't go wrong with Southern Tier Pumking though!

Made some chili with on of my favorite winter beers:

Cubed sirloin, tomato, onion, shallot, garlic, chili powder (made it with arbol, new mexico, and pasilla chiles), jalapeņos, red chiles, black beans cooked down to thicken it, 2 bottles of Sleigh'r, and cocoa powder

Bought a six pack of Anchor porter.  That fit the bill for the weather we're starting to get.

And quite often not even that.

Lies. Although I am a man, and therefore don't drink lattes.

My favorite fall beers are all German Maerzens, Shwaben Brau is my favorite, followed by Paulaner and Stuttgarter Hofbrau.  The only exception is Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA, which I consider a fall beer.
