The stock FM antenna on my stereo doesnt pick up any signals and I want to replace it.
The original looks like this:


Does anyone know what the name of the connection is called and what gender it would be?


I ordered this:



Am I on the right track if I want to attach it to a coax cable?

As far as reception goes an argument can be made that antennas only need to be x length and any additional length is a waste however I have found that very long lengths of low voltage wire used as an antenna allow my garage radio to reach waaaay out. Not trying hyjack but just addressing if you may want better reception.
