The wifey and I are planning a week trip out to Ohio in April for my birthday. Neither of us have been, and all we know is that we want to hit up Cleveland for the rock and roll hall of fame early in the week, and end up in Dayton to stay with a friend before we drive back up to Milwaukee on Sunday. We'll probably make a stop in Columbus as well Any good places to stay/eat/see? any places we should avoid? We would like to hit up any breweries around the area, so Great Lakes Brewery is one place on our list... other than that.. I know of nothing and we'll probably just wing it. |

Easton Town Center in Columbus has some good restaurants. I like Bon Vie myself.

Yuengling. People will shoot you in Western PA if you pronounce it wrong. Most bars in NJ/PA you can just ask for a lager to get one.

If you're going to be near Dayton, drugs and crime are awesome.

The only thing really worth seeing in Ohio is Pepprdog's farm, and Cedar Point.

I don't think PCF is interested in the male strip clubs you frequented while at school in Athens.... |

Dayton has the air and space museum. I hear they recently found out that one of their exhibits was still full of fuel. It had only been there for 40 years.

Also between Columbus and Dayton, sort of, is the Ohio Caverns in Bellefontaine. Pretty cool actually.
Cleveland has the R&R Hall of Fame as you mentioned and some decent museums and Cedar point is about an hour West of it. Not realy sure about much else. Around Cedar Point there are a couple of indoor waterparks with White Wolf Lodge being the biggest and most expensive.
Honestly, I have rarely been in Dayton so I don't have much to offer for it. Only reason I ever go there is to catch a flight to somewhere better. Edited by oldpbnoob - 17 January 2013 at 4:54pm |

Everyone around here loves Melt, but be prepared for a fairly long wait unless you go at non-peak hours. Imagine all grilled cheese sandwiches making up other sandwiches....delicious!
Want a really nice, upscale dinner? Cant go wrong with Michael Symon. Once I graduate and have a real job, im going there. Michael Symon also has a burger place that is awesome- If you like bars/clubs, then West 6th is the popular place downtown. Ive never gone down there though. Its a bunch of businesses all clustered together. The aquarium opened recently, its suppose to be pretty nice. The Horseshoe Casino- you get free parking downtown in a garage if you gamble for 30 minutes (slots count, so you could gamble and end up paying less for parking). If you like theatre, theres Playhouse Square. We have a ton of museums. If you like hockey or basketball, the Lake Erie Monsters or the Cavaliers will be in town. Monsters tickets are surprisingly cheap for amazing seats. Ill keep thinking about restaurants. There are a lot of nice places downtown

b-spot is definitely on our list... and possibly Lola if we have some extra cash to spend on a nice dinner.
Thanks for the all the info though guys! Nice to know about the free parking if you gamble... although we're looking at staying in a hotel in the middle of things so that we can just valet the car there and leave it.
