Interesting SCOTUS decision. I am curious how this works out, and I hope that I'll get to CCW in NJ in the near future. Doubt it though.

that's impressive. In fact just yesterday I was looking to see what states my (newly issued unrestricted woo hoo!) NY state CCL was good in and saw the map that had Ill all blacked out with the "This state does not allow private citizens to carry concealed pistols"

Are you carrying yet? If so, what? What states can you carry in anyway, I imagine not many states have reciprocity with NY

No, not carrying yet. I picked up the license only Monday. I'm about to pull the trigger (haha) on what will be my duty pistol, an M&P 40. The town will reimburse me for the purchase, and I'm getting a hell of a deal on it from a dealer that the NYPD uses- courtesy of my father-in-law having known the guy for quite some time.

As far as reciprocity goes, this site's pretty awesome:

Nice site, funny how the states that have the same permitting requirements (or often weaker requirements) don't honor my permit. I'm assuming the states that honor it give you a free gun if you move there.

That feel when Kentucky has a ton of reciprocity.  I need to get my CCW soon.

After you get commissioned Reb, you can carry anywhere in the U.S. but an airport. To heck with worrying about state statutes.
