   Met up with that friend of mine who has been helping me with the police job, and he informed me that I can legally go out and purchase a pistol, since I have been sworn in as a police recruit with the Town. I was in awe. More.good news though, the town required LEOs to buy and use Smith and Wesson M&P 40s. But after I lay out for it, the PBA will reimburse me for it. 

This means that as soon as my ID with my shield number comes in, I can finally go and get a pistol and learn how to shoot it before the Academy and have some level of proficiency when it comes time to Qualify. AND, the town pays me back for it. 

Then, I get in the car and check my voicemail....to find out that my CIVILLIAN license has been approved. It's been a good day tater.

	Haven't shot a M&P yet. Heard they are great guns, especially with the APEX trigger. Congrats brotha.

	I tried my friend's duty carry M&P 45, and can't say either of us like the hinged trigger. We both do consistently better with his SIG .40 even with the long, heavy DAO trigger. I'd like to like the pistol, but it doesn't seem to like me.

	I like my pinko-commie dog shooters when it comes to pistols, that, and the 1911A1. I think the only modern pistol I've tried that I actually liked shooting (don't know how it goes for reliability and whatnot) is the Croatian HS2000 (aka Springfield XD). For whatever reason, 9x19 and I don't get along on most platforms. I tell it I want it to go there and do that, but it decides it has its own agenda and next thing I know, there are holes all over the paper. The XD was really spot on for me though. Don't know what's different about it. Maybe it's the fact it's made by a former pinko-commie state that makes it more agreeable to my direction, but for whatever reason, it works better for me than just about any other.
