The boys band is doing a wedding reception Saturday and they need me on bass and vocals. Dependibility does not seem to be an atribute anymore as thier bassest has 'something else' going on, rather than making money.

Song sets are mainly modern I never heard of stuff, so told the boy to send me cd's or something so I can at least listen once before going in blind.

The bride wants a 'Born this Way' by Lady GaGa cover, so I thought the Alice Cooper from Bonaroo cover would be the best shot at a vocal solo for me, might even do a full Alice wardrobe and makeup just to shock the parents.

I do plan to do the rest of the gig in the back, out of the lights, with no mic, just a shadow. My hair is shoulder length now, not bad for an oldguy, just a year till the high school reunion and the 'shock' factor of showing with long hair in a ponytail, full beard and a Harley.

The 'only' way I will do the vocals is in a Alice Cooper type personna, no way any other. He pulled it off quite well, even rumors of a studio version.


Since I got the call at 1030 last night been up with the song sets and bass tryin to get it straight. Momma thinks it is a hoot watchin me back at the bass, my long neck 5 string is a bit of a problem since my pinky and third finger on left hand don't work so well since the stroke. Chord sequences need work, and I got three days.....

I will try and get momma to video this 'classic'...no promises
