Hi, new to the forum and new to paintball. I recently just purchased a used old model tippmann a5. I wanted to convert it to full auto, so i bought the e-grip. Now my question is, will i need to upgrade anything else to make my a5 full auto or is this all i need? sorry if this been asked before but searching through the forum i wasn't fully satisfied with what it gave me. I appreciate any help!!

That is all you need. Now with that said, there are things that you can do to the marker to make it work better on full-auto but there is no point in getting into details without knowing more about your specific marker set up.

well the marker itself is old and you can tell its been through alot. when i had opened it up, i notice the casing itself has what looks to be paintball residue on it and the paint where the hopper meets the casing is coming off. The marker itself works fine. As for my setup, I ordered a flatline barrel, a coil, the egrip and a low profile hopper. What would i need internally to make the egrip work to its full potential?
Thanks for the reply Mack!! |

As Mack said, you can go full auto without a problem. Now, depending on the egrip you have you may be able to adjust how many paintball per second are fired. On the standard Tippmann Cyclone feeder, about 15-17 bps is about what can be reliably fired. If you can adjust your rate of fire above that, I'd recommend getting a full Cyclone upgrade kit http://www.techtpaintball.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=80202&CAT=3260 which will enable your A-5 to comfortably fire at or above 20 bps.
