First off, we will definitely be bringing a p&s in addition to the dslr on the honeymoon. I'm not going to want to hang out all day on the sand with an expensive camera.
That being said, I bought myself a birthday present.  |

I was hoping to get out today, since I had nothing planned, but it's stormy out. here's some pictures that I snapped yesterday at my birthday cookout.
   The last one is probably horrible in the eyes of a real photographer, but for some reason i think it's fun that just the tip of his nose is in focus.

The control over depth of field always makes me drool. Try re-taking a similar one with your dog, but with the eyes in focus.
