Alpha black barrel and shroud

   So I'm getting the 18 inch Apex 2 as of right now.....I heard that after 14 inches the Apex won't work as well?......I was thinking Bout getting the rap4 machine gun shroud for it and putting on a smaller barrel? And reviews on the machine gun shroud?
