I know an Aussie who can quote that entire episode verbatim. Also we're making the guys from the UK jealous with this thread. Have fun with your safety scissors and plastic cups at the pub scotchy!

We only get the plastics in the clubs and certain pubs after about 8 at the weekends! The safety scissors are a pain though.

but yeah if I was stopped by the filth here with one of these stabbers without an immediate reason to carry it then I'd get 6 months inside. I'm not even nearly joking.

There was a plan to ban pointed kitchen knives there the last time I visited the UK.

Must make killing crayfish hard......

'Round about $40.  Clearance at the PX is regular price elsewhere.  It had been 50.

I want one of these...

I probably wouldn't even wear it that much. It would just be nice to have in the collection.

One of the final few new store bought blue Spyderco Dodos. They were discontinued in 05 or 06. The girlfriend found me one and it was my xmas gift from 2011

Thanks, Tallen, for letting me know which model Gerber I have.  I've carried it for almost a year, and didn't know the model name.

New WW rescue blade:

CRKT Hammond ABC Aqua knife. Blunt tip so you don't stab the person you're trying to rescue (or the raft for that matter) but razor sharp to cut through lines, webbing, etc. Tons of mounting options too.

My name is impulse, I'm a knife addict.

Debating on these two knives, same knife, different color.

Spyderco Paramilitary 2.

If there is no price difference go for the Para 2.

The black pocket clip is less of a target indicator than the silver one, and you can carry it more places, or when dressed up fancier.

I have some knives I reserve for carry in a suit or tux.

Of course if I'm in a tux I've gotta have my 9 in a shoulder holster.

Both are Para 2's.

I wish the satin blade has a black clip.

But the satin blade will be easier to maintain, I think.

All black is about $15 more.

Ah I misread that. I thought the black was the Para2, the satin the Para 1.

Yeah it depends on what you do with your knives and how often you sharpen them. I've never had a decent blackend finish wear off a knife. I've had cheap ones peel off, but never wear off.

This beautiful piece cutlery arrived on my door step today. I knew everyone ranted and raved about them, and for good reason. One of the best fit and finish knives I have ever handled. Along with the S30V steel and ergonomics that are bar none

What is the best way to paint the pocket clip flat black? Any suggestions?

I also picked up a Spyderco Sharpmaker. Great knife sharpening system for the money. Highly suggest it.
