Whe Tippmann released the TPX, they included the staggered 8 round magazines and malfunctioning internals, which suck. Having owned one, I feel I can say that. Tippmann released a v1.2, as it were, where the internals and magazines have been updated. The internals are now well-functioning, and the 8 round magazine has been replaced with a 7 round straight stack magazine, which feeds MUCH more reliably. To denote the updated model, Tippmann has renamed the TPX the TiPX, so when you get the TiPX, you KNOW you are getting the updated marker.
As for getting a TPX, there was a time frame between the renaming when the new markers (and a LOT of old ones) were being sold with updated internals and magazines, so they work just as well as the TiPX. The best way to find out if a person selling the marker has an updated TPX is to ask if the internals have been replaced (Tippmann did this for free), and to see if includes the 7 round Tru-Feed magazines. |

just wondering if there's any drawbacks to purchasing a TPX instead of a TiPX? And if theres anything a TiPX can do that a TPX cant do.
Thanks in advance |
