So, the TSA is now forcing all passengers to either go into the naked body scanner, or be groped by their "security"...

So much for "freedom".

FE- give the concern you've exhibited about terrorism, what do you suggest as an equally effective solution form a security standpoint? Or are you prepared to accept greater risk to airliners in order to achieve greater freedom?

Haven't you learned yet when he's setting this up? The response will be to ban muslims from flying

He's a fan of the Israeli system of personal interviews conducted by experts for each passenger.

However, he has yet to explain how that would be paid for or how it would not slow down security lines.

Having males do the search on females seems like a serious policy error.  That being said, I have an urge to pop a couple Viagra the next time I fly.

Hey, I'm with him for once. It's total idiocy that won't do a single thing about terrorism.

But freedom? I dunno...You're totally free to tell them where to shove it by not flying. I know you couldn't PAY me to get on a plane nowdays, I wouldn't put up with that kind of nonsense.

That would be contradictory to his own vehement affirmation that Muslimesndeserve to be treated full equally to all others. I'm curious to see what*other* ideas he has now that he's dismissed his old one.

As someone who occasionally has no choice except to fly due to getting to races, I gotta say I couldn't care less.

Now, I can understand some people caring.  But I'm pretty sure having only same-sex personnel monitoring/searching people should pretty much cover that issue.  It's just the TSA has it's head so far up its butt it can't figure that out (I'm betting, anyway.)

The Israelis could definitely teach TSA a thing or two.  Unlike TSA, they actually have had to do a good job for multiple decades, and have prevented terrorism with their methods.

I dont see the big deal. Sure it'll be a bit embarassing when a life size scan of your knob is put on a giant screen for everyone in the airport to look at then televised for anyone out the airport. But when someone is offering to strap me onto a flying machine and get me across the planet in a matter of hours (with a bar and a movie) Then i'll take the "inconvenience" of being searched. I reckon exploding whilst travelling at 700mph at 30,000ft could be a bit inconvenient. I'm not sure if you guys heard but there are people actively trying to blow up aircraft.

Moan less.

Their method works, no doubt.

It's the scale of the operation that causes the snags.

I would make that the most aqward search ever. Working in an airport now however, I cant wait to see what happens with this.

"No sir, that is NOT a corkscrew!"

While it may be an invasion of personal privacy a bit, as mentioned before I feel that it's worth it to prevent the stressful situation of your airplane suddenly losing half of its seats.

Let's be honest though, the likelihood of your plane getting highjacked by terrorists is somewhere in the range of winning the lottery. It's not like 300 planes are being highjacked a week.

I'll try that one next time on friday when im getting on a plane. "Yeah sir but lets think about this, the chances of me being  a terrorist are remote"

Maybe not me but I will guarantee that there is someone somewhere living happily who will be killed when his aircraft is blown up. Will the body scanners and searches (Which have been in place as long as commercial flight) definitely stop any attack? No. But it does stop one of  the easiest ways to attack. What's your problem with it? It takes 20 minutes in a queue. You don't have anything better to do anyway.

Lets not forget a couple of bombs were discovered emmm all the way back last week. I know they were cargo items but still it demonstrates the threat.
