Car Stock Thread Question

   Hey, I was hoping someone in the industry could help me out with a question about the M-98 CAR Stock.

It's unclear from pictures online if the new version (with the strap connection on the bottom of the stock) has the threads, but I own an older version of the stock which is threaded for the tightening ring to prevent rotation.

I no longer use my marker regularly, and was hoping to use the stock in another application. 

Does anyone know the standards for the diameter and threading on the stock?

The closest I've found are 3/4" MPT fittings, but the stock is slightly larger.

All help would be greatly appreciated. =)
