Having lived in Fremont I understand the frustration. There are three meat packing plants in Fremont, Hormel, Cook's, and Smart Chicken, and each employ's many of doubtfull immagration status. A house down the street from my old house in Fremont had at least three families living there, and the Hormel Van would pick up at least 6 adults every morning at 0645. Funny thing though, after every INS raid differant family groups would appear at the house within days. One of the reasons I moved down to Lincoln, from Fremont once I got married was this change in the atmosphere of Fremont. The Fremont house was larger, larger yard, and still we balanced what we saw to what we had, and decided the the move to house in Lincoln was the better decesion. And I do not regret decesion for I have driven by the old Fremont House and I am just glad the check cleared. |
