Definitely a step in the right direction.  Providing this goes through, I think the results will be very positive.  This is probably better than having the Constellation program.

Space travel went out of style 40 years ago.

If you guys are going to spend 6 billion on science and education, and feel like ignoring the school system and medical system, why not spend it on something that people will care about?
