With injuries to Strickland and Greene its no wonder why we lost in the second half. We had to play deeper back with a missing DB and had to do more short passes with Green gone.

What's with all these old-guy QBs doing well lately?

(Note: I fully expect to post after the Superbowl "what's with all these old-guy QBs making it to the Superbowl and then losing?")

As far as the game goes, I don't know who I want to pull for. I want Favre to win because this will likely be his last Superbowl, and it would be nice fo him to go out in an Elway-ish manner, but Manning deserves so much more than to lose a Superbowl.

I'll probably just end up hoping for a good game. Meh.

The only place you might see Favre in the Superbowl is in the stands.

I should really pay more attention, and maybe actually watch the games, eh?

So you guys don't have your local team and hate everyone else?
You switch who you're rooting for if your team gets humped?

Hmmmm...... Seems strange to me.

Well, only two teams get to the Super Bowl.  You can't just not root for a team, there has to be a decision at some point.

Unless you're like many people, and don't really care enough about football to root for anyone, but just show up to the party anyway.

It's a little different than Premier League or whatever else you happen to be a big fan of in Europe.  Where you would never root for another team, people will usually choose one of the teams that are playing to "cheer" for because it enhances the enjoyment of the game, and is all part of the camaraderie of watching the playoffs with your friends.  Everyone has different reasons for who they choose to temporarily root for, be it a particular player, an old grudge(Like why I will never EVER cheer for the dirty cheating fumbling Patriots), or what have you.
