The Flyers are just a team of thugs that is burning to the ground right now. Firing Stevens was the knee jerk reaction, but they need to seriously rethink their approach to hockey...they just can't put that Broad Street Bullies approach away once and for all.

That's why teams with the goon mentality are doing so well! The Flyers and the Leafs are 12th and 14th in their conference (out of 15 teams), both currently well out of playoff contention.

Tallen, how do you not thank the refs for handing that one to you as well? His gloves were intentionally dropped, and pretty clearly. Thats kind of funny this happened, we were talking about K.O.'s in hockey at work last night, and if they ever happen.

Well, the Ducks were more successful than this season's Flyers or Leafs thus far. But they weren't a runaway success either. They just got the 8th place seed in the western playoffs, and their victory in the first round of the playoffs was more due to the Sharks melting down in the playoffs.

Oh, our boy should have been given a 5min major as well, but Carcillo deserved the dishing out he got. Remember, you get to sub out for your boy serving a 5min major for fighting if both teams fight. His 9min power-play call was based on the cross-check, the instigating, and the fact that he sucker-punched Matt Bradley.

I still dont see how thats a sucker punch, he was clearly dropping his gloves. Ive seen swings earlier than that.

Seems like Bradley should learn how to fight next time.

Also, as choop never embeds vids, I'll do this one. That shot to the ref looks like it really hurt.
