Swiss Ban Muslim Minaret

I'm really going to need to ponder this one before I can register an opinion......wow. 

Banning/regulating religion should never be left to the people.  However, it is Switzerland, so I don't really care.

Well it was going to happen sooner or later. Ethnic (or indigenous or native born) Europeans have been inundated the last decade by Islamic refugees from war torn areas such as (but not limited to)  Bosnia and Croatia.  Generally speaking, when a person or a group of persons wishes to emigrate to another country, it is usually because there is something appealing to them about that particular country and they want to become a part of it. They learn how to become citizens of that country and integrate into that country's society by adopting many of the customs.

Stupid and bigoted. This is only going to increase tension between European populations and Muslim immigrants further, and it also unjustly restricts the freedoms of the vast majority of Muslims who are perfectly reasonable, decent people.

You bring up Muslim extremists as though they are relevant to this discussion; they are not.

The radical Muslims are at war with (more or less, anyway; this is a gross oversimplification, but mostly accurate I think) foreign entities imposing themselves on the Muslim nations and with the western culture. It's kind of counter-intuitive to think that any significant number of extremists would live in a nation where western culture is largely predominant, or that they are a threat in a country like Switzerland.

Your post served nothing other than to show your own islamophobia and how you let it skew your view on Muslims in general (I say this because NOTHING RELEVANT ABOUT RADICALISM OR TERRORISTS WAS MENTIONED PRIOR TO YOUR POST, yet you bring it up as though Islam and violence go hand in hand with each other).

So are you wrong about the number of extremists in the world? It doesn't seem that way. But are you wrong that it is relevant to this topic? Completely.
