I got to see the Oasis of the Sea today in it's home port, Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale and I gots some pics.







It arrived yesterday and is the world's largest and most expensive cruise ship ever built.


EDIT: Heres a promotion picture of it yesterday (I wasn't there).

I have never felt a need to go on a cruise.  Perhaps I'm missing something.

No, I'm really not.

I'd probably be far more interested in checking out all the turbines and stuff below decks than going on the cruise.

I have enough retards around me on a regular basis.

Personally, I prefer places with a minimum of people.  Given the choice, I'd prefer to just go hiking as a vacation every summer.

I agree with the surrounded part Pariells mentioned. You also have no control over
who shares a dinner table with you. I suppose that is half the fun for some.
But if you look at the destinations rather than the 'ship', you can have a great trip.

That depends on what cruise line you go on. Carnival doesn't do that, you can reserve a table for yourself/family if you want.

I was in Fort Lauderdale in past summer, and I could not believe how rich the area was. Nearly every half the houses in that neighborhood in the first pic have private yachts, and I saw all sorts of vehicles driving around ranging from  Bentley's, Ferrari's, Porsche's, and Lamborghini's.
