My google fu was weak, and now I turn to you forum. What can you tell me, what can I do? We have XP, Windows 7, and OS X at our disposal.

What was she doing when she got the error code? Running a particular program? Trying to access a certain document?

If it's a system error code, it's possible that windows is trying to synchronize time automatically and the privilege is getting wonked:

What was she doing when the code came up?

I believe she was opening a Zipx file, as the title would suggest.

I've never used Zipx, so I can't really help you.  The few things I've had to compress (well, mostly expand, actually) I used WinRAR on.

Yeah she was just trying to open an encrypted zip file, and knowing her computer that's likely all that she was trying to do.

Probably a software error, she should contact winzip with the issue.
