I'm guessing at least a couple of forumers have read or heard of this book (*cough*Peter*cough*).  It's Dawkin's latest book on Evolution, and apparently its a good read.  I've been wanting to pick up a good book on Evolution lately, and I'm considering this one, but I'd rather skip the 480 pages of Dawkin's extolling how religion touched him in his naughty bits when he was a kid.  So in short, is this a worthwhile read?  Is there a better book on the topic?  I'm always interested in reading the theories for how various organisms and traits evolved.

Any suggestions?

I'm not a fan of Dawkins.

He often uses a machete in his writing when a scalpel is needed.
