None near South Florida yet... I really do need to get a gas mask though.
ALSO: http://www.cdc.gov/swineflu/ ^Everything about swine flu that is scientifically accurate. PLUS it has a chart of where and how many cases there are in the U.S. |

Aaaaannnnddd the W.H.O. just raised us to a level 4 pandemic:
Death toll is now 149. The main culprit in the deaths is the body's reaction to the virus. Essentially the lungs of these otherwise healthy 16-50 year old people are ripping themselves apart in a very odd auto-immune response. When asked why the deaths are only in Mexico, the experts asked by WTOP here in DC stated that they had no clue. |

Given that the primary cause of death has been an excessive autoimmune response, my inclination is to beat my immune system down so it can't kill me.
My professional medical advice is to drink yourself stupid, eat awful food and deprive yourself of sleep. It's like putting your immune system in a headlock.

Yes that was good news. However I'm not sure it has been shown to combat it in a real world setting yet.

Yes, the drugs Tamiflu or Relenza are useful against this strain of flu.
Strato... atleast YOU don't have to drive out to Dallas to work around sick people all day. |

Upstate NY is still clean. We keep most of our nastiness confined to NYC anyway. I'm in a hospital anyway, so if anything DOES happen, I'm in a good spot, but man, what a fun time to have a baby.
