So I got a call from my girlfriend at about 9:15 saying she just flipped her Blazer (which she just got a week ago). The roads were a bit bad here in Michigan. Fortunately her and her friend were ok. They went to the hospital just to get checked up.
Unfortunately, her Blazer is totaled, so I don't know what she's gonna do as she only had PL/PD on it. |

Roads aren't flip a blazer bad... and I'm in northern Michigan; our snow > yours.
Sounds like your GF was driving a-bit too aggressively. |

Well she said that the car next to her started sliding into her lane so she tried to give them room but then she lost it. It wasn't really snow, it was more ice than anything.

Im a big fan of getting full coverage on any car for atleast the first few months(if your carrier will let you).
Plus, kind of a shifty story bro. |

I JUST saw a car flipped up on its passenger door, resting next to a lamp post. Good times when it snows

snow doesn't make roads bad, stupid drivers make roads bad. I'll wait to hear the full story to determine if said GF was bad driver, or another was to blame.

should have let them hit her, then it would have been on them... tough luck though... what year, miles, did it roll or just flop on its side, did she cut the engine off as soon as she flipped? if the cars a total loss but the insurance isent going to give you anything dont claim it on insurance... just strip the car and sell it as parts then junk the body. you could get at atleast a grand for it Edited by merc - 14 December 2008 at 10:08am |

Its a 95, probably over 100k miles. She said it was totaled. Before they flipped, they slid into a wall too. I figured her dad would strip it for parts since he can pretty much build cars on his own, but I guess hes not interested in doing that for whatever reason. I'm just glad they're ok regardless of the reason for the accident. |

We were out driving the other day, and this friggin' moose steps out on the road a couple hundred yards up. Car in front of us swerves out of the way, just scraped the thing with its side view mirror but otherwise cleared it, and BAM, out of nowhere the car gets hit by a goddamned meteorite, skids into the verge, flips over the side rail and tumbles off down the side of the hill into the woods and explodes. It was pretty badass. Moral of the story- don't take chances, just hit the moose. |
