Well, interesting choice.

.22 is just a silly round though.

The .22 is the most versatile of any caliber. If you ask anyone who really knows firearms if they had only one caliber to choose from, probably half would choose the .22.

The .22 is not noisy, it is astoundingly accurate, has little to no recoil, and costs next to nothing to buy and shoot. You can find ammo for sale anywhere, and in an incredible variety of types.

You don't need ether one for a short barreled weapon or a silencer in most states. You do need to fill out the proper paperwork, and submit it with the serial numbers, and the makers/sellers permit numbers.

It cost me $85 for the SBR paperwork for my G3K, but it took almost 4 months to come through.

22's are wonderfully fun. The cost of a single round for my Savage 7mm is equivlent to an entire fi**edited**l of 22 rounds. I never understood why people act like a 22 is some harmless pellet. more people are killed with 22's then anything else in the world, and they are arguably more lethal due to the tendency to bounce around inside a target.

My boss has an Armani Jager PN 74 (I believe that was the model) designed to look like an M-16. He takes horrible care of it, so I took it home to clean up for him. really nice looking gun except for how poorly maintained it was.
