I think that gun was featured in every cop show and gangster movie from 1940 until 1985, give or take.

Snap caps are fun, but they lock up an autoloader, and it's one thing to practice shooting with snap caps and another to thump out live rounds.

Having different velocity rounds in a loading helps show up what you doing wrong.

Agreed, but snap caps do allow you to discipline yourself for the basics, body aligment, sight picture, breathing, trigger pull, etc. I have never use them in an automatic, only revolvers. I use the for double action and single action practice.

Actually thats a good point, the snaps will work in any DA/SA and DAO pistol, it is only in single action and Glock style safe action pistols that they don't work that well unless you want to practice stoppages.
