Let's start.

Warm water is what fuels hurricanes. The hotter it is, the more energy a hurricane has the potential to get. Temperatures have been rising over the years and with it, hurricane number and strength.

I know it's thousands times more complicated. But in a nutshell; yes, global warming is a part of it. The controversy is in the cause of global warming, not the existence (unless you live in the stone age), so "don't even start" is an incredibly ignorant way to respond that comment.

BTW, I can't wait for Josephine (could be Ike now that one of the potential areas died off). I'm throwing a "We're all going to die" party.

Good. I hope you die first so you can cease giving off "greenhouse gasses" with the hot air seeping from the leak in your noggin.

The reason I am playing this whole thing as a joke is because over 30,000 known accredited scientists have signed a petition stating that "global warming" is not caused by human interference in "climate change".

EDIT: 31,072

I said nothing about human cause. Like I said, the controversy is in the cause, not the actual occurrence of the warming.

Also, the controversy is deeper than you think. It's not just (did we do it?) but (how did we do it if we did?). I wrote a paper in an early college class of mine about how CO2 isn't as significant a factor in global warming as the media and corporations are making us think. While it is a factor, gasses such as water vapour and methane are many times more potent. As a result of my research, I deduced that hydrogen powered vehicles will do more to warm the earth than gas powered vehicles ever will, should hydrogen vehicles become popular. My thoughts were confirmed by articles I found while doing further research.

By the way, find me the petition and we'll look up some of your "scientists." I guarantee that once we get rid of "discovery institute" liars and anyone who attaches words like "creation" in front of scientist, there wont be many left.

I can agree that the climate does change but I don't think it is human cause.

Heres the link to the petition.

I've been looking up names, and the ones that you can actually find online (outside the Petition Project) are either creationist nuts, have degrees that don't involve the complications of weather, or are scientific failures.

For example: From Rhode Island you see John Tse-Tso Ning. But look on the 13th page of this link and you'll see how much credibility he has.

Yeah I could print it out and sign it online petitions are even more useless than real petitions.

Heck, my undergraduate degree in psychology makes me a "scientist."

Yet I am personally completely unqualified on the subject of global warming.  Maybe I should sign the petition too, and then have my 5-year-old pretend he is a scientist and sign as well.
