It's weird, because I actually see Gyllenhaal as ugly. Holmes wasn't a hottie, but the downgrade was tremendous in my eyes.

Yeah, yeah, that's all fine and good, but you're talking about the leading lady of the movie. You need to have the best of both worlds for that. Acting abilities AND be nice to look at. They struck out both times in this department. M.G. can definitely act- but she's almost Sarah Jessica Parker ugly. Katie Holmes is at least cute, but she's Hallmark Channel level of acting. |

It really sucks that I'm in Turkey right now in this regard. I can't find a showing that hasn't had the audio translated to Turkish. Even if there was an original showing, there would still be bright white subtitles on the bottom, which would kill the scenes.
I have to wait another 16 days before I can see it... if it's still in theatres.  EDIT: I just found an theater showing in English. There's no stopping me now! EDIT 2: Saw it in English. Saw the movie, loved it. I think it lived up to the height. The Joker was one of the creepiest movie villains I've seen in years. A genuinely fantastic performance. "Who wants to see me make this pencil disappear!?" |

It was a good movie but didn't live up to all the hype due too Ledgers death. Of course it was going to be good it was a batman movie but because he died every show for like a week now has been sold out.
