I wonder if his restaurant will stay open. I'd like to visit there this summer to pay tribute to his family.
Tallen was always a boundless bucket of knowledge. Drowning is such a terrible way to die for such a good man. |

I did an ocean kayaking course once, and one of the guys in the class got stuck in his kayak for a second or two when we were doing rolls. In a sea kayak you're supposed to sort of...pop out halfway through a roll, pretty much automatically, but for whatever reason he didn't. That wasn't anything serious, but I could see how this could happen, especially if he was whitewater rafting. He will be missed. I can't even begin to imagine what his new fiance is going through
