Heard their song 'Handlebars' today and knew I had to look into them.  Ended up buying their whole first and only yet album, "Fight With Tools", off iTunes.  Enjoying it so far, it was well worth it.

Those of you that like Hilltop Hoods will probably like them also.  Their music brings together the feel of many types of music, with heavy guitars in some sections; fast, hard drumming through others; with some ska/reggae flavor brought in by a violinist and a trumpet player.  It comes all comes together well with well-crafted and poetic verses and choruses.

Writing a song about handlebars on a bike is so indie!

It is weird, so it must be good. The weirdness also makes them talented.

Wasn't planning on targeting you (or Carl) with this.

And PCF, I'm on the east coast so it just hit our local alternative station.  Being on the east coast really sucks for music.

I heard them around a week ago when Reif posted a link to Handlebars in one of his threads and have loved them since.

Too funny, this is like the third thread about a song that I discovered recently and enjoyed thoroughly. Handlebars is sweet especially the end.
Once we clued in on the fact that life is finite, the thought of losing it didn't scare us anymore. The end comes no matter what, all that matters is how you wanna go out, on your feet or your knees?

Handlebars are you serious? Are you even listening to it?

I listened to the song in reif's thread and liked it. I may look into some of their other stuff.

Knew it'd be met with love/hate here.

But anyways, also discovered that they released another album 5 years ago under the name "The Flowbots". Same band (save a couple members), just changed their name.  It is self-titled with the old spelling.

Hilltop hoods is a terrible comparison. Gym Class Heroes are very, very similar, especially in Handlebars

My bad.  I've only listened to a little Hilltop honestly, if you couldn't tell.  Although, technically, I said if you like Hilltop you will probably like Flobots, not Hilltop is like Flobots . Lol but seriously, my bad.  I'm sure that statement is probably not true, also.

And the only Gym Class Heroes I've heard is pretty much from the radio, and the songs that are played have forced me to dismiss them.  I should probably give them another shot.

2nded. They have a couple songs I'm not a fan of, but overall they're quite good. Especially if you like flobots
