Alrighty,

Painted the engine bay the right way (auto paint and a spray gun for the compressor)





Painted the brake booster,



Quick one of the gas tank, it's oil coated and I didn't want to go oil on the camera after I pulled the tank out.



New shocks and sending unit for the gas tank,



Pic that better shows the tubular upper control arms for the rear end as well as the rear end waiting to go in,



Finished valve covers we redid, probably going to sell them,



Bunch of misc 5.0 parts we got for free a while back near the start of the project,

Yea I'll probably install the shocks tonight.

Also I forgot a pic, changing out the heater core,

I need new shocks to, I went to jack up my truck yesterday to find that one of my shock mounts is broken. That will most likely be the next repair that happens.

looks good, its coming along great. 

You should clearcoat the raw metal on those valve covers.

I put the shocks in and took a pic before the rear end went in,



The rear end before going in, (my dad put the lower control arms in backwards. But we did switch them around)



Had to take the quad shock - shock mounts off the 87 GT and drill holes to fit them on the 79 but they are on,



And here she is,









And yes in the end it will be like any other Ford Smitty, bad ass as always

Alright, it's been a long time since I updated so heres a big-o-update.

I'll start with todays delivery,

Nice Valve Covers,









Under Drive pulley kit,

Nice valve cover bolts,

Some other stuff we bought a few weeks back,

Chromoly intake manifold bolts,



Roller Rockers,





Remeber, those rims ? We picked up a used set of tires for $150 and then I saved some cash by taking them to school and mounting the tires on the rims and balancing them myself,





V8 Sway bar,

Theres some misc bolts and stuff we ordered that we still have to go pick up. We're really closing in on this project.
