Why do those verses get the special treatment?

Ok, I don't have time to read all the post that have been put up since I was last on here, so I will respond to this one cause its short.

Jerseypaint was sort of right, except everything in the old testement is the word of God because he spoke and commanded it, but, all of the old Judiac law is now null and Viod. The ten Commandments are still in effect however, because they are not part of Judiac law, but rather are part of the Covenant.

As for "picking and choosing" what parts of the Bible to follow and what not, we are DEFINATELY not supposed to do that. We are supposed to follow everything in it except the old law.

Even Einstein believed in a greater power. I play the Mega Millions once a week, but I would not shell out a penny that all this is just luck.

Seriously.  The old "Einstein was a Christian/Jew/whatever" myth needs to die.
"No society can surely be flourishing and happy, of which the far greater part of the members are poor and miserable."
