As long as they're inline, should be able to have any number of cylinders you want.

So I test drove a Z4 the other day.

Very nice.  It's a very strange car - not as smooth as the Porsches, and I have no doubt that in the hands of a skilled driver any Porsche would leave the Z4 in the dust.

But I am not a skilled driver, and I am not on a race track.  And the Z4 was fun.  Really, really fun.  It just felt good.  Its turning tolerances were clearly in excess of mine, so it is theoretical whether some other car is "better".

And to top it off, it has most of the BMW luxuries, and an actual (small) trunk.

All around very impressive.  Not a car that I was considering seriously before, but it quickly moved high up on my list.

Yeah, I liked the Z4 a lot when I drove it. Not really a high end sports car, but a great little roadster and definitely a BMW.
