in my opinion i think the ak47 and the m16 are alot alike except for the round size your opinion on this i would like to hear it.

Cleaning it to inspection standard on a course so your instructor can run through it with a white glove, and cleaning it so it's serviceable are two very different beasts. Getting the problematic carbon buildup out takes little time, and then you just lube the snot out of it, sand or no sand. I'd take it over an AK any day.
