Why are we here?
Where did we come from? Why does Nickelback have a fan base? Seriously, just hearing that lead singer's voice/rhythm makes me cringe. How does anyone stand them? Same slow, nasty faux-rock sound for every single song. And every station here plays them. The rock station, the top 40 station, the "mix" stations. I don't get it... |

One of my friends listens to them. Went to their concert actually. He also listens to linkin park. Its such a shame, cause my gf has terrible taste in music too...its such a bummer.

Saw them live once. Took my (now ex) girlfriend to a show of theirs in Camden, NJ. Live show was fun. They threw bottles (plastic) of beer into the pit about halfway through the set. That probably explains the fan-base. Either that, or the sons and daughters of the 70's rock-star wanna-be, muscle-car driving, arena-rock loving burnouts are trying to find something that they can listen to and rebel with.... or not. Hell if I know. Can't stand them. Give me some Muse any day.
On an off-topic tangent. I've got the new Linkin Park album Minutes to Midnight. Way different than Hybrid theory or Meteora. Not quite sure how much I like it, but there's a good "eff-bush" song in there. If you want to know more, PM me. |

Nickelback is the latest descendant of Creed-though I'll admit that Creed was alot better as a band, and actually had some decent songs. Nickelback just sucks-I turn the station any time any of their songs come on, especially photographs... Most modern commercialized rock sucks anyway. |
