Need a little help folks, for all you knowledgable peeps out there. I bought a used 98 Custom off of Ebay recently, which has a response trigger, expansion chamber and a cyclone feeder. What I would really like to do is to buy a new 98 that has the ACT technology, and switch the R/T, expansion chamber, and Cyclone over to the ACT 98. I know that the bolts are different, but should the rest transfer over to the ACT 98 with no problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help. Papa Thump |

No problems whatsoever. Perfectly fine to switch parts over.

if you really wanted to, you could simply buy the two pins, springs linkage arm and rear bolt and end cap that make up the ACT and install them into your 98c. it would cost alot less than buying a whole new 98ACT. and its really not that difficult

And you would need to mill the recievers. It would be easier to do the ghetto ACT mod on www.model98.org |

not really. you would simply have to drill 2 holes for the pins and file a little bit out of the sight rail.

Black_Shadow, I went to tippmannparts.com and came up with the following list of parts. Please let me know if there is anything else I would need to get. Also could you please let me know size and location for the 2 holes to drill that you mentioned, as well as what part of the sight rail that I would have to file. Thanks for the help.
