Meh, in the ones I opened there was a graphite rod with some acid stuff. It all depends on which ones you get. I would open the up to get the graphite rod and use them for water electrolysis.

i used to cut open batteries at school when i was in theatre, those ones were just boxes of acid and stuff, because they would leak acid when you cut into them

Learned that awile back when I performed the battery mod for my egg in uber upgrades. Had to rip open a 9 volt for the terminal post and found 6 AAAA's.
