do the shockers that are brand new(07) really make a difference compared to 06, 05, 04,

07 will have break beam eyes and supposedly better efficency.

The new NXT (07) line of Shockers has a number of differences over the older SFT (03-06) line.
  • NXT has Breakbeam eyes, whereas the SFT has a single reflective eye. This means that instead of bouncing light off the ball, it senses when the beam is cut to allow the marker to fire.
  • NXT has a new trigger frame and snatch grip
  • NXT comes stock with the SP High-efficiency bolt
  • NXT has internal, rebuildable detents
  • NXT has Imp/Ion/Nerve barrel threading
  • NXT has it's own proprietary feedneck threads
  • Integrated dovetail mount on the grip frame; no more rail, should you go with an ASA with a dovetail mount system
