eh i dont see any reason why it wouldnt be a decent gun...seems solid, has odd styling but thats ok...and it has the same internals as a 98 custom and its centerfed so i dont really see why it would have bad performance

ions are like mustangs...alot of people have them but not many know how to use them... |

To many people knock it when they havn't even shot it. I guess its just the styling. It still looks like something you'd see on the construction site though.

I personally question the long-term operating reliability. I'd like to see pics of the inside because, looking at the owner's manual, it looks like the metal hammer is just sliding back and forth on plastic. And not even smooth plastic but ribs. Even if the hammer were mirror smooth, this would still wear the plastic pretty badly.
Let's see some pics of it's guts! |

I had no velocity problems at all with HPA. The only issue I had was the occasional decocking, which would be consistent with HPA/X-chamber incompatibility, but otherwise performance was flawless.

Someone on the Nation said the blow-back was deliberately used to stir up balls in a gravity hopper.

Is there an American flag on the box like 98s and A-5s? If not then trash it. |

And also blow them back up into the hopper. Pick your poison: dry fire/chop because of no agitation, or dryfire/chop because the gun wont let balls feed. |

ya that does seem like it would be a problem i think the blowback is wierd because since its 98 internals originaly used in a metal gun have been put in a much lighter plastic shell there for making the blowback>than 98 |

Well, I certainly experience no blowback. I used a Revvy, and it fed just the same as it does on my other guns. The only problem arose when I tried the auto modes, and I was outshooting the hopper, as expected. |

hey ya'll,
tippmann has a scematic for this marker, the internals are both 98 custom AND A5. tippmann had a problem with their sear springs wearing out the rear bolt and wearing out the sear too. go to the website and download the drawing, you'll see. Billy out ![]() |
