I hope Jackson directs it and tries to stay a little closer to the storyline. If they could keep the casting the same for Gandalf, elrond  and Bilbo, that'd be nice too. The Hobbit has way more cinematic value than LOTR did. I read all the books as a kid, well before it became mainstream nerd crap. I always liked The Hobbit better, less dark and not so sexually uncomfortable with the Frodo and Sam stuff.

Ian Holm is a wee bit too old now to play Bilbo in The Hobbit.
