As it stands, many of us here have different opinions than those of the members on Spec Ops. It's mostly a belief thing. Of course, many others here have accounts on Spec Ops as well.

hey hey , spec ops guy, sorry if you are offended by our points of view, i dont care about what you and tippmann do, as long as no changes come about to this forum.......so go right ahead, it would actually be good for starting milsim players, if you launched packages or something........

I am a leaf on the wind, watch how i soar.

No prob! our "style" of play is not the bible, but perhaps a guideline or suggestion.  Paintball is about having fun and we figured we would share how we do it.  Just so happens a lot of people enjoy what we do share. And then of course, there are those who are like to what I call "yang" on it.

So "yang" away my friend, it's what makes the world go round.

Again, not offended.  Keep in mind we are here to give you guys what you want.  So perhaps we are all going about this the wrong way wondering "what will happen??".  Perhaps... you should tell us what you would like to see?

Regarding the "mil-sim" comment.  A lot of our mods are similar to real firearms not for their "look" so much as thier ergonomics.  Simply put there are quite a few people out there that prefer to shoot a marker that "feels" like a real firearm.  My personal belief is that mil-sim just happens to be the look that goes along with the "feel".

There are a lot of products that we make that do not look at all like any existing real world firearm.  Such as the Tac-1 and ion based Longbow/q-bow configurations.  We have never said "this is the best setup and you are stupid if you don't like it".  More along the lines of "here is another way to have fun".

So again, tell us what you guys want :).  It's what we are here to do.

Quick question for you Rory. You said you'd like to hear from us about what we'd like to see come from this, etc. Is there any specific way that you plan on taking in feedback? ie: In this thread, a thread on the specops forum, a specific feedback webpage. Essentially I'm wondering if a player has an idea, question, or suggestion, what's their best bet it'l be heard/ answered?

and youre saying... were not?

anyways i think this is good. special ops makes some amazing products. it's just different philosophies on paintball (the easiest to point out would be snipers in paintball)

I like the spec ops brigade and stuff, and it really is a good thing for the sport. The SPPL is another good thing you guys have done, along with the tactics videos and things like that. I enjoy watching those and although I hardly ever use those team tactics on the field (because normally its just like 5 on 5 and all we play is elimination anyway) its still interesting to watch the tactics. Always helps to have more weapons in the arsenal if I ever need them.

Its really the store itself I have troubles with. The one time I ordered from you guys it was a JCS dual trigger. You were one of the only places I could find that sold it and I figured it would be a nice time to cash in on that pod, patch, and free paint from the brigade. Went ahead and ordered, waited 2 weeks, still no product. Called and asked about it(after about 5-10 tries I finally get through to an actual person) and was told very nicely that it would ship the next day. I'm thinking cool, alright. 2 Days later I check to see if its shipped and it hasnt. Once again I am told it will ship next day. 2 days later call again, still hasnt shipped. You guys have very nice customer service people, but I finally gave up and ordered from hotshotpaintball.

May very well have been a 1 time thing, or entirely my fault, but I havent ordered from it since.

Specs Ops isn't that bad dude, but you over-commercialized woodsball. Obviously you have to make money, but when a 12 year old kid thinks he needs to choose a "position" and spend $1000 on gear, thats a problem. Kids rabidly defend you guys and your sniper gear, not accepting reality because they're in your cult.
