Ive got a nice cocker, but im kind of scared of timing. I can do it, but she likes to get out of adjustment, so buying a kit and switching on and off probably isn't my thing... After football season, im working, so i can wait and save up then. I cant wait to be a gun whore! |

Well, Frobs, if you replace the front pneus with a pump kit, the only thing that will need adjustment is the cocking rod, back block and lug. Simple stuff there. And fishsticks, I would say you could only enter one, but due to a frightful lack of competition, they are all valid... Nice Sniper! |

That is pretty much everything that timing is... Thee only other thing is actuation point, for mech cockers. Im set on doing it, i can time a gun fine... Its just my gun doesnt like to keep its timing. She is stuborn, but I love her... Im thinking about buying a pump kit though, any recomendations on good cocker pump kits? Yeah, but that's all the easy stuff. The hardest part of timing is adjusting the actuation rod connected to the 3-way. A good pump kit is probably a WWA (White Wolf Airsmithing) pump kit, or a CCM. They are both pretty good, and should last you a long time. The CCM is expensive though, as is the ultra grade WWA kit WWA offers an economy kit that cost less though. Mini kits are more expensive too, so your going to have to check out the websites. On my 'cocker, it is easy to remove the front pneus. Just remove the banjo bolt, unscrew the cocking rod from the back block, and slide the actuating rod out of the trigger frame. Soundse like a lot, but they just kind of slide out. I don't know about minis though. Mine even stayed timed.
