Me and some friends are looking to play woodsball and some other styles. I really like the a5 and was wondering if anyone could tell me what parts I would need to get to make the a5 run on compressed air. Also what kind of a tank would I need? And is changing the gun to compressed air a difficult task?

Any other advice on equipment I would need (i.e. Mask, paintballs, etc) would be very helpful.

High (800-850 psi) output HPA tank is all you need. Screw it in and it will rock.

Everything else is limited by your budget.

Thanks a lot! So I dont need a kit to customize the gun to compressed air? And next question, what is a good website to purchase tippman guns and other paintball equipment from?

Mask: VForce is a good choice. Shield, Morph, Profiler. Price raises with each of them.

Look into a Vforce Vantage. They're great masks for the price. As far as upgrades go, wait and play with the gun stock first to see what you think it needs.

As for compressed air, you just need a high output tank and your set.

All you'll need is a high output tank(800psi) and you're set. You wont need anything else to run on compressed air, in your case HPA. You can run on lower pressures, and that is what requires the lpk and reg.

This should work right? It says its set at 800 psi.

I like the 4500psi tanks over the 3000. On the A-5 I owned the 3000psi tank wouldnt get me through a hopper and 3 pods.

Try a Crossfire 68/4500 with an 850 preset. It is a very common tank.

Sounds good I will look into it. Whats a good harness to use with this tank? Im looking for one that can hold at least 4 podz and the tank in the back so I can run a line from the tank to my gun. You'll want a remote line. There are tons of 4+1 packs out there. My friend has an Extreme Rage one, I know it's not the best brand, but it is nice.

Yes, that's the one.

Get a 4+1 and you'll be happy. They are all pretty similar design wise.

Dont buy that. The upgrades on it wont do much for you performance wise. Its better to buy the stock A-5 and upgrade it as you need it.

I've been looking and I think I might but the tippman 98 and add a 14 in barrel for accuracy and get the bt model 98 tactical carstock. What sights will work with the 98?

Dont waste your money on the Tippmann barrel , buy a decent upgrade barrel , (insert search "best barrels" here) .

As far as sights , the BSA red-dot sight will bolt right onto the 98 , or the A-5 for that matter , walmart sells them for around  $20.00 . Personally I like them for several reasons , they look good , for a low budget Mil-sim approach , they do help some with rapid aquisition of a target , you can shoot with both eyes open no problems , and Last they do carry some intimidation factor !

SL68-II , micro honed and polished .688" bore . Tuff Enuf .
