i can eat, and drive my 5-speed integra with ease. i have it down to a science. i really don't see what's so hard about it, it's all in how well you can multi-task. the only tricky part is when you are at a stoplight. shifting isn't hard, but shifting + turning can be a problem, so i just stay in the gear that i'm in until i can shift. no one's ever honked at me yet, and i've been driving this car for over 2 years now....but then again, i'm the kind of person who hums to a Mudvayne CD as i'm doing calculus homework....oh well... |

When my wife sits there and shifts with her elbow and talks on the phone and fixes her mascara while she drives, i punch her real hard in the leg....after i get cursed out i say"That's alot better then having your legs mashed into the dashboard".
If i get the chance, i'd dropkick an ignorant driver on their cell, it's just stupid. And it's also why they invented a handy speaker system for the old carphones(then banned them:) |

I've never had a problem talking on the cell and driving, but I make it a point to be brief...I don't like to talk on the phone that much period...but I have been in the car with a friend driving and seen first hand the difficulties that some have. Our speed varied up to thiry mph, drifting out into the oncoming lane, and nearly shooting thru a stop sign and landing us into a pond. Y'know, some people can walk and chew gum at the same time, some can't.

-Actually I just turned 16 like a couple months ago and in our driving class the other day. These were the reasons the police officer gave us as to why its illegal.. -You take one hand off the wheel which makes it harder to turn quickly when needed. -You may have to look down while dialing numbers. -If someone calls and you have call waiting you take your eyes off the road and look at the phone. And yes its illegal in my state (Illinois) if you havent figured that out. Anyway my opinion on this is if they are going to make that illegal then shouldn't they not allow talking to passengers, going through storage things in the front section of the car, changing the radio station while looking at it. Also driving and eating something like a hamburger or having chicken nuggets/fingers or fries and dipping them in something is alot harder yet they still allow it. I think its just a privilage that to many stupid people got taken away from us because they are to careless. Edited by Thatoneguy123 - 25 May 2006 at 4:25pm |

Not to mention that Kingston drivers are scary to begin with,. Not a word of a lie, the same old person driving the same crappy car has struck my mom three times at the corner of Bath and Queen Mary, up near the old Wal-Mart. I wish I were making that up. The person was turning illiegally on all three occasions, too. |

really? That's nuts man.
I also enjoy kingston because, no matter how many time winter comes and goes, as soon as there is snow on the ground, accidents triple. It's like everyone is seeing the stuff for the very first time! |
