oh my god. that is the uglyest thing i have ever seen. like i meant the 98 dident exactly look good but i liked it cause it was practical. but this is just the same thing with a little gold and a little more ugly. (the gold) I was eager to see what the 20th anniversary marker would look like and i must say i am gravely dissapointed.

It's definately a collector's item, much like the Franklin Mint die cast cars or
planes. Companies will gold plate and make plaques and certificates and
pump up the prices. The marketing will be geared to make you believe you
absolutely have to have one because they are so limited in availability. And
sadly, that is true. Bottom line? It's a 98 Custom with some faux gold
plating, a stand and a certificate of authenticity....meaning it's a "real 98
Custom.

If you collect vintage markers, sure, get one.

Personally, I'd never even consider buying one to play in the woods with.
What would be the point? And you'd be a fool to buy one then modify it in
any way.

I emailed them a while ago with some questions about it and they havent replied. I usually get answers in a few hours to my questions. This is wierd.

I got one for free when I went to play at Skirmish PA. on their 20th Ann.. I brought 25 people with me so I got the free gun over the paint.  I didn't realize they would be giving it to me.

To tell you the honest truth.  I am NEVER going to hang that in my house nor do I care for collecting markers at the moment but hey it was a free gun and I have every intention on upgrading it.  I'm Most probobly gunna give it a paint job too, ORRRRR... Should I sell it to some collector and buy a new 98c and have the extra cash for upgrades or an A-5
How much do you think I could get for it?
