I think it would be the single funniest thing of the day if a mod were to set his post count to 1336.9. That being said, I'm sure it only takes integers. :(

FMJ isn't ideal, given it's a "ball" round, it doesn't allow for any expansion and is prone to over penetration. It will, however, fragment... so it has that advantage over current issue 62gr steel-core FMJ. The polymer tip on the VMAX rounds provide for devastating expansion. Ball rounds are just referring to the powder used.
The military uses ball powder instead of stick powder because it burns faster and is more efficient over time.
Stick powders tend to lose "punch" over time. As well as being a slower burning powder. Shotgun powders and cannon powders are stick powders.

I agree about the Vmax. It is an incredible bullet for varmint hunting. Probably be very effective against hippies and whatever else also.
If you reload, try the 77grain boattail Vmax. We use the 77grain boattail solid tip very effectively out to about 600yards in the AR15.
The military (specifically Marine Marksmenship Team) uses 77 grain rounds when shooting long range at Camp Perry. That is where I learned about it. The larger projectile is less affected by the wind. It also delivers more energy to the target due to the increase in mass. Which is always good when hunting hippies and zombies
