cheap picture packet and divide it between us. I'm
just gonna scan the pix into my computer, blow them
up and BAM! I have more pix.

Do you realy want to skimp on memories? Pictures that you can look back on 40 years from now. I'd bet you'll be happy you spent more for pictures to have good prints, Rather then looking at a picture that has a likeness to fine grain sandpaper. just meh 2 C's. I'm getting package C for $33 (cheap I know) it has 2 8x10s 4 3.5x5 and 16wallets. So I can scan in the big one and then shrink it up to pass it out to people.

AH, good choice. I was thinking you would be scanning wallets and blowing them up. Your plan will work nicly.

My date and I decided not to buy the pics taken there.

Her dad is into photography and took our pics before hand, outside [better scenery, better lighting, and free to boot].

Brihard is correct, a company cant claim portraits as their own unless the have legel permission from the model/models. You are paying for them to take your photograph. Once you pay you own the rights to that image, Because it is you whom was photographed, and you never consented it's use to the company who photographed it.

Most photographers who are hired to take a picture of some one, (For the model's own purposes and not the photographer or some alternative company), Will give you the negatives or positives if requested.

Reason being, They cant legally use them for a damn thing other then printing them and giveing them to you.



Per being the owner, You can make as many multiples as you like, and give them to whom you please. If the pictures are being sold by you, It is normally expected that the photographer who took the images is credited.

And I do believe there is some sort of law, regaurding the sale of ones own image, when it was photographed by a second party. I dont know about that though, Because it is no concern of mine. I photograph animals, heh.
